can't make up my mind, help me out guys!
Ok guys..here is my issue
I like to get an electric (my 1st) plane. I am a glow-flyer, but would love!! to have an electric 3D plane for outside the door and/or the park near by.
This is what I would love to see in a plane:
- balsa build
- not too big in size
- able to fly verrryy slowwwww
- build/capable for 3D tricks..(the usual..ya'll know... ..)
- fairly sturdy, in case it hits the ground somewhat hard
I have been surfing around for weeks at the various popular websites..spending hours and hours of research, watching video's, reading reviews and all it did made me more confused.
It seems to be more of a luxury problem since there are so many nice planes out now, and I realise that. I would just love to hear from you guys why you/I should/should not buy one of the following planes.
I have narrowed it down till these planes:
- The lil' banshee from Cermark
- The Reflex 3D from Hobby-Lobby
- The Extra 330 suitcase from Hobby-Lobby
And..last but not least..Katana ES35 from Accell Hobby
Please guys...help me out here. I have done my homework, but would love to hear from you guys, my "family-flyers", what I should do.
Thanks so much in advance you all, you don't know how much it is appreciated.

I've heard good things about the suitcase plane and the Reflex, but haven't flown either of them. I haven't heard anything about the Katana either. I do fully recommend the Lil Banchee. I did have one of those and it was awesome. Unfortunately, I lost it a few weeks ago. They don't do very well if you run them into light poles!
The Banchee was very stable at high speed and slow. It hovered very nicely and also did tight waterfalls with a little flaperon. The roll rate was unbelievable on high rates, but it stopped the instant you let go of the sticks. I will very likely get another one sometime soon, but right now I have other irons in the fire.
Another thing to consider is price. The Lil Banchee is only $60, compared to more than $80 for the Reflex or Extra 330 suitcase. Whichever you decide, good luck.

I am not a very big fan of balsa profiles but I would recomend the extreme flight yak profile if I had to pick one. I had the suitcase and flew a few friends banshees and my favorite was the EF yak I had. I would really not recomend the suitcase one as this one stood out to me as clearly my least favorite. I know you didn't ask but imo if you are going for a slow flying fairly durable model just get a flat foamy.
