Trainer for my O.S. 25?
I have an unused OS .25 and I want to buy a nice trainer for it.
 So I’ve searched the Internet and found three options:  First the: Ripmax trainer 30 Weight:1750g Wingspan: 1330 mm Secondly the: Seagull Jumper 25 Weight: 1400-1700 gram Span: 1380mm Thirdly the Graupner Trainer 25 Weight: 1950 gram Wingspan: 1380mm Does anyone have some flight experiences with one of these planes? On this forumsite some people say that the Jumper 25 won’t fly easy……..is that true? The third option will not be my choice because it is already too heavy in weight.  At this moment I’m flying a 19 years old Westerly 2000 Trainer (Jamara). This Plane fly’s great! Well powered, very stable flying characteristics and easy to land! Weight 1640 gram Wingspan: 1498mm O.S. 32 engine Hopefully some one can give me some tips for the O.S .25 engine…

If you're willing to build a kit you can find a Jr. Falcon or Falcon 56 (both by Carl Goldberg) on E-Bay occasionally. Either of these will fly with a .25 and both are great beginner or second beginner planes.

Jr. Falcon is 1/2A - with a span of 38" it was designed for .049 power, and it'll be way over powered.
Falcon 56 will be under powered - it should have at least a .35 if not a plain bearing .40 which is more that adequate. Sig Seniorita or LT-25 may fit the bill. For that size engine, you may also want to consider scratch building - look at the plans selection offered by RCM or Model Airplane News - there are a lot of good designs in their plans selection. Nice hint!!!!! The SIG KADET LT-25 really is a good idea! span:1600mm = 63 inch weight 1810 gramm = 4 lbs Or the Senorita...... More hints are more than welcome.

The Seniorita is a really sweet airplane - I wouldn't shop any longer.

The Carl Goldberg Freedom 20 is an excellant plane with the 25. Can be tame and aerobatic with a higher throw rates.

I've owned a Falcon 56 with an OS MAx .25 and it flew fine. I replaced the OS Max 25 with an OS MAx 35 and it was almost overpowered.

Sig Seniorita or LT-25
I just completed a Seniorita and installed a O.S 26 4-stroke. It is a wonderful plane, however it only a three channel. If you want a four channel go for the Lt-25. Anyway, I couldn't have asked for a better basic trainer. |

Great Planes PT-20 is also a good trainer.. excellent instruction manual.
