Yippee!
Foam Plate/Deli-tray flyer cook-up!!!!

I was sitting and thinking what would be another cool cook-up!!! After the success of the "Stick fuse" cook-up i thought "Hmmmm..." that'll be hard to top!! Then it hit me....A foam plate cook-up!!!!! So Here's the rules. 1) All planes must be made from 8 7/8 foam plates. You can have limited other materials, ie; carbon fiber ,balsa for added strength in key areas but other than that foam plates. 2) 16" W/S max. 3) AUW no more than say 20 grams.

We'll run the contest till December 20th 2006. Ok lets get this party started!!!

You mean something like this? If I can muster the time, it could be a good opportunity for me to refine the design.

Greg,

I'm in.

Why the limit on the diameter of the plates? I see some bigger ones out there (more flat area to utilize). Meat trays are out, right?

Ari, why not go for the full visual pun and show your plane sitting on a BBQ grill?

I think there should be a limit- Otherwise it's a sheet-foam contest!

Just to be clear....only foam plates can be used. I know theres bigger plates out there, but this adds more of a challenge No the planes don't have to look like a plate Just something that flies made out of foam plates!

OK, I'm game.

Got a stack of 9" plates in the pantry. How can I not resist this temptation?

My little brain is scheming on an idea as I type.....

iter is going to be darn hard to beat!

Dang, Greg...

Just home, exhausted from the JR meet, coming down with a cold, looking
forward to a bit of time to work on a bit of non-model stuff....

Now this!

I'm in...

Del, seen you at the jr meet. Just wanted to say you have the most amazing planes.
Thanks for taking the time to show them to me.

Oh and to keep the theme of the thread.
