Orbit Charger - Undocumented Features

I just received a Microlader Pro today. I noticed when I was in Automatic Fast Charge mode I got what appeared to be a capacity "limiter" function - probably a way to set the maximum capacity the charger would put into a battery.

Is this correct? Are there any other neat "Undocumented Features"?

Cheers,

Rob

This is documented. It's in the manual.

There is one other feature that is undocumented. The Tadiran and Lithium Ion charge modes won't charge as many cells as the manual says it will. This probably won't be a problem, for most people.

I never did find it in the manual. I know I read it somewhere, possibly on their website.

Greg, are you using the Orbit Microlader yourself??

Or are you just another Schulze ISL8-936 user?

Greg

It affects me, unfortunately.
I've emailed Gieger ..... and he claims it's a software prob, and they are investigating.

Now I'm stuck with 6cells tadirans.

If your LiIon pack is discharged low enough it will charge 8 cells. I know this for a fact. I believe the magic number for voltage when you start charging is below 24V. As long as the pack is below 24V it will start charging. So your 8 cell pack has to be almost completely empty.
