Looks great! Not to be picky but nose gear looks way back comp. to real plane. Also might be nice to have a scale engine nacelle for slope glider version and people who would like to experiment with fan options (edf55, microfan, and others)

I know, give me give me give me.

Cheers--Stacker

GWS, any idea what the shipping costs for the earlybird may be? Similar to the GWS-38 maybe? Man my wife is gonna kill me!

Does the non-powered version include fans, but no motors, or no fans as well as no motors? I'm imagining that nps means no fans, no motors.

I'm trying to figure in my head the best way to go on this one. After just doing the twin brushless thing with the 38, I'm a bit hesitant to have to lay out double the money to go twin brushless again. On the other hand, I don't want a brushed setup that only flies marginally. I know from some of my other ducted fan projects that extra power is far better than marginal power for ducted fan flying. These things are not nearly as forgiving as prop planes are.

I'm also thinking that realistically, this plane is going to end up in the low to mid 30 oz range for most builders. Again, it's gonna need a lot of power to fly it. And that will equate to heavy amp draw. Just my halloween candy induced ramblings.

I will take 2 NPS and 1 SG version, I am an earlybird

I also already ordered 3 more GWS-38's from Tower. I kept my promise Mr. Lin, you make them with good quality, speed, and price... I will buy them all, fly many, and promote them all over Seattle, WA.

I have a question, what battery is the GWS-262 in the video flying on? And what is the amp draw?

Blaze,

I think they said 3S2P 1300 for batteries, and like 13amps.

Pat

EDIT - From the other Me-262 thread:

Wattage Turbo Vector uses a sngle 65mm fan with speed 400 and flies very, very nicely brushed. GWS 262 is a bit less than twice the wing area, and a bit less than twice the weight.

It uses a 300H, which won't put out quite what the 400 will, so I'd wait till they post the video of the brushed one before making a final judgement; but it's possible that it will do quite well.

Appreciate your efforts to communicate the good news on 262.
Goodonya matey

Hi Phil,

I am lucky that Mr. Lin, my former teacher 22 years ago, pay me $$ for me to chat with flyer friends like you about something we all like and enjoy with.

You got more excellent airplanes to fly and I got more friend flyers to talk to.

Many of you have been helping me or GWS in many ways. I really appreciate.
