Thank you to all that came to Half Moon Bay and made this event a success at the Pioneer Electric Fly. We just luck out as the weather is about as perfect as Half Moon bay goes. I was out there Friday morning and the fog was so thick that it feel like rain.
Sheerluck, the, B-24 belongs to Jim Hendrid(sp?) of the Pioneer R/C Club. It is powered by 4 wattage motors(from the B-2 flying wing). The Quantas BAE146 is a Robbe kit owned by Konrad Dudek. Unfortunitely, the plane is no long with us. The Yellow Aeronca Champ with floats belongs to Jim Reimholz, powered by a sp400 with an olympus gear drive. Both pilots are members of the Penisula AeroModelers at Half Moon Bay. SheerLuck and Perry, thanks for posting the pictures. See you next year at the BAD 2003! Brian |

There is one thing that I would like to add about the Airbike that I think should really be mentioned.
The pilot, cowl, and engine in the front are all carved from foam, by the builder of the plane. And he also carved the prop out of wood, but I cant remember what kind. I just thought that should be put out there, just because he did such an awsome job on it. You cant even tell that they are carved from foam. Brian. |
