When i first got the Tiger Moth, i wanted to build it but not use it until i could
learn to fly on the upcoming (then) Slow Stick.

Well, i could not wait and decided to try the TM right away.

The TM was soooo easy to fly that i have abandoned the idea of
getting a Slow Stick.

The only reason that would make me buy a Slow Stick is if i could fly indoor.

Also, i was thinking that i would be able to use my Qualcomms. But nope...

Just my little contribution

Size matters

After reducing the size of my old LS I convinced myself that "smaller is better" ( in the case of this plane )

It now handles wind better, has more power relative to weight (loops) The wing flex is gone.

Only loss is the reduced glide but well worth it.

The slow stick does sound interesting however

Slow Stick is GREAT!!!!!

It is Huge. 46" span. Also flies slower, faster and more responsive than the Lite Stick. 3' takeoff, 40 degree climb and 0 landing roll.

Plus, it is durable. Today I hit a tree 30' up and it fell onto my neighbor's roof onto the right wing tip, then slid down the roof to a nose first landing on their driveway. NO DAMAGE !

It will also carry a load. I have flown it with a 7 cell AA 1600 NIMH pack and it didn't blink. I'm going to set it up for banner towing and a small video camera for the next indoor meet.

I'm impressed that it doesn't need any modifications, stock out of the box is perfect. GWS must have listened to the beefs about the Lite Stick cause they corrected them with this plane.

With the 280 powered version you can fly it on a parallel pack of QC830's, same weight as a 7x720 NiMh pack, but you'll get about three times the duration.

finally

At last, I have had a calm evening. Flew the slowstick today. Takeoff roll with 6x600ae was about 10 feet, with a positive climbout. Gains altitude very quickly with a slight headwind. With 6x350 nicad, it loops from level at 3/4 throttle. Havent tried looping with larger pack. For any of you that loved the smaller stick, this 1 is even better. Not much else to say, it flies like a big, better, lightstick.

Price

At a $34.99 price, does it really matter if the wife is watching? This is hard to beat.
