Here's a brand new 6" winch drum to fit a Ford longshaft (5 3/4" shaft length). It takes flat or multi-rib serpentine belt for the brake. The hub is 2" diameter and 4 1/8" long, and the end caps are slightly tapered. It comes with the drive pin, which fits inside the removable cap. This arrangement lets you get a little more hub length so it'll hold more line. All the aluminum parts are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. The drum weighs 30 ounces. All the hardware (except the drive pin) is stainless steel.

I'm including a length of new serpentine belt you can use for the brake. It's easier to work with than a V-belt. You simply secure each end to a piece of flat aluminum bar with lacing, much like wrapping a spar. You can also form an eye on the end and put a bolt through it.
