hey guys, i found plans for this on some foamie web site, and sense its on my top 3 list of favorite jsets, i couldnt resist. im doing it EDF stlye, but it can be easily done pusher as well. its very close to a true scale outline, and the only big change i made was to the size of the tailerons, they were too small on the plans. also, no cg was noted, so i found it by making a few chucks. it only took about 1 sheet of depron, and about 2.5 hrs to build. i still need to add control surfaces, and i really want to do full flying stabs, because this is a "test bed" for a larger, twin EDF version some where in the future...so this is kinda the test rat. fan is a e-flite fan, motor will be a e-flite 4200kv inrunner...est weight RTf is about 14-15oz with a 2100 3s pack, and about 230-240 watts. should have 1-1 thrust ratio, if not a hair more. stay tuned! i want to put gear on it too...ny maybe a quick paint job.

i know in crazy! im not even done with the A-4 yet!

BTW, its 36" long, and has a 22" wingspan.

As far as control surfaces go, I'd recommend going w. aileron/elevator.
Stay away from the *elevon* scene w. this bird... don't ask how I know.. lol.
Don't have any experience w. full flying stabs on this one but you never know!!

yeah, i was planning on doing flaperons, and ruddervators... just like the real deal. elevons wont work well on a v tail. only a "flat stab" i think it will be a good flyer.

My understaing is that this bird only flies on the control from the tailerons???? That the le and te flaps change camber of the wing and thus only effect maneuvering and landing, etc. But then again, i never flew one let alone seen one in person!!!! Great model though. I left a message on the EFD board on this model.

no, the ailerons accually work great! rolls very nice. it has "ruddervators"..and like i said in the edf post, they make it do some crazy stuff.

One other question i forgot to ask, where did you get your Thunder tiger Prolite batteries at? Is it an online source that would be available to us. Thanks again.
