Power plant for FMA Razor

I have a new FMA Razor. I prefer to fly slow. Would using a 2.3:1 gearbox and a 8x6 prop give me good thrust/climb, and a slower controllable speed?

I would not go geared on that wing. Do a 6V Speed 400, and use the throttle. You'll be happier with it.

You might try doing a search for Razor with a gear box, I saw one a while back, and a few said it worked good. But after a while, you will want more speed, and DD is good for that.

No no no! Use the supplied 400 6 volt motor along with the 5.5 x 4 prop or, use a zagi carbon fiber prop. The Razor flies much better the faster it goes. For even more fun, use a speed 600 with it. Mine has many many flights on it and is still like it was new. And, very durable!!!
