brushless setup for gws p-51
I originally posted this in the GWS forum, but I thought this would be better...
So I'm trying to get a slightly "used" GWS airframe from a friend to fix up and get flying. I'm running a BP-12 motor and CC Thunderbird in my corsair right now and think it is an excellent power system for the price ($50 total!)
I was hoping to buy the same set-up for the P-51, but I'm not sure if the bp-12 outrunner will fit in the nose with the cowl. Does anyone know if it will?
Also, I was really hoping to be able to put the spinner on to give it a good look, but it also doesn't look like the spinner will fit on the BP-12. Does anyone know of a spinner that will fit on that motor?
Lastly, if the BP-12 won't fit or I can't find a spinner, what is the cheapest brushless set-up I could find that would fit and also let me put that giant spinner on? Is there anything less than $50?

There are prop adaptors that will fit on the BP-12, you might have to cut the motor shaft shorter but it's not a problem. I have a bp motor in a GWS 109, it fit fine, I haven't heard anyone say it was otherwise. Good luck
