I haven't tested this motor yet but having tested others in the range I imagine the current draw etc is optimistic. Also, I just put the 6300rpm with an 11x7 APC E into our calculator

and , even if it does manage the rpm with that prop, it gets nowhere near as much thrust as the specs you posted would suggest - 29oz is well short of the 37oz they suggest.

That said, it could well be enough for your particular airplane.

Wait a week or two and I hope to have test stand data for this motor.

Cheers, Phil

I am looking for greater than 1/1 for true vertical on this plane.
Would this be better?

No load current / 10 V:0,5 A

Or do you have a recomendation in this price range.

Or perhaps going to a 11x4.7

Again, I just don't know yet - I have one of these 2215/20's coming. They look good on paper, but BEC has test run some of them and not been impressed.

Well the motor looks interesting. I don't if Dr. Kiwi has tested it yet, but I wired mine up quickly with a GWS 12x8HD it pulled 16A on a tired 3S and ~10A with a 10x8HD. I will get some RPM readings from it tomorrow, but it was pulling very hard with the 12x8. The amps did really start to spike, either, so the motor doesn't appear to be struggling too bad with the 12" prop.

I want to use it on a hotrod Formosa. It will be more than adequate for that. It might even fly my GenericStik that weighs in @ 28oz
