V-tails

I am very interested in using a v-tail for elevator combined with ailerons. Area of tail surface verses area of wing is not a problem. However I can not find info. on area of tail moving surfaces. Just mucking about with a new idea. It seems I'm cursed/blessed with an active mind.TIA

Use the projected area when viewed from above. Or use the actual area multiplied by the cosine of the angle from the horizontal squared. I was only doing this last night.
