Graham shot some video when we were in Germany but I don't know if it came out OK?

IMHO it is very easy to fly with no vices.

The BUMP is a wery good flyer. I have made it in many different sizes and they all fly fine. I have not tried with X-Twin motor but I guess it would be OK.

If you build light it is slow, and if heavy it is not. Why not try to make one, it takes less than 60 minutes. I think you will like it! Here is a video of mine bump (I think): http://aronnesrocken.com/microfly/microflight.mov

Thanks for some infos and a vid purple. Slow/fast according to weight and well mannered thats all I expect from good planes. The look is of its own and very fine!

Be sure if there is time I 'll do one on Xtwin - I will report! I am shure it will work with around 10'' span and a total of max. 20 gr AUW. I am shure the xtwin/AA ragers would jump on such a frame kit without any doubt if offered (hint) at a reasonable price. On Ebay they sell some frames for xtwins - just saw a (crappy) ME 109 - looked liked carved with a kitchen knife

EDIT: Grrrrr - my Quicktime refuses to play the vid of purple . Anyone with a mpeg or so....about bump flight ???

I'm sure the AA gear will fly the Bump with no problem!
I'd make some wedges to sit the motors on so the thrust line is straight.
The wing has a nice angle of attack and with the motors straight you should get a nice climb rate.

i've been trying to decide on a plane for the SRF thread, and i'm starting to think the BUMP might just be the ticket. i'm kinda ashamed to say i've never built one, but a cute little 6" version would be perfect. what are the chances of doing custom sizes?

That all depends on how much time Mike can spare

I have seen how well Grahams micro Bump flew so I would not hesitate to have a go at a 6" version. With Butterfly RX, 6mm pager DD and 50mAh cell it should be a laugh.

Here is a pic of Grahams poor Bump about to be swallowed by a Mig-21!

i'd say the BUMP might be too light for the engine...i hope those wings have been reinforced with some CF.

i'll be going in the lighter direction, using the piccos tail prop and the 4mm motor setup i've been going with. it all just works too well not to try it in more planes.
