They are OK - I've got about 20 of the 5g servos and I've had one that didn't work properly and one that failed in the air but the others are fine. I trod on and broke some gears but was able to repair it with gears from the one that didn't work.
I've used them in a variety of small 3D planes, 40" and 52" zagnutz and a GWS spitfire.
I've only tried one 9g servo and there was a bit of slop in it - not enough to prevent me using it but more than you'd see in a higher quality servo. I've no idea if they all do that.
Basically I like them but wouldn't use them in anything really expensive or demanding.
