Ele-bee vs. Zagi

Ming
Have you made any progress on reducing the cost of shipping to the U.S. for your planes?

I am really interested in trying out the Ele-bee. You quote $22.50 for shipping on E-bay which seems a bit high to me. I thought I read here in the zone that you were trying to find a distributor in the U.S. or something like that to try to reduce your shipping costs. Any progress?

Has anyone else had any real world experience with this wing? Does it fly as good as the Zagi? Is it as durable?

Shipping cost of Ele-Bee

Dear Dave

The reason we need to charge US$22.5 is because Ele-Bee need ship from Hong Kong at this moment. Next shipment of Bat, Bee and Ele-Bee will arriver L.A soon!
Do you know the shipping cost of Bee is only US12.5, because we have stock in L.A.
Thank you very much for you comment.

more questions about ele-bee/bee

Ming,
OK 12.50 for shipping I can live with. But can the "bee" be modified to electric? Specifically, does it have the same airfoil as the ele-bee?

Again does anyone have any experience with this flying wing? Please let us know what you think of the flyability and durability of this zagi look-a-like.

Thanks,
Dave

Ele-Bee

Dear Dave

Please have some review of Bee(Glider) and Ele-Bee(Electric) as follow website:
http://www.rcsail.com/Bee.htm
They use same airfoil.
You also can buy the Electric version kit and carbon spar from http://www.windrider.com.hk/products/product.cfm#1 to make you Bee become Ele-Bee easy!

Dave:

I've been flying my Ele-bee for few weeks now and I can say this is one great wing.

I been looking for Zagi flyers to fly my wing and found one today... he was impressed

Nippon Dave's shipping

Dave quoted me $36.00 shipping for a 1.4m LO-100,nearly 25% the cost
of the kit!
The $2.50 shipping is Not for kits.

Has any one bought one of these in the states? Curious what the shipping time turned out to be for you?

Rarch
One great wing? How is the durability? How does it compare to a zagi? Sorry for all the questions but I am new to flying wings and I need the most durable wing out there for my small RC budget.

My wife says my Bee took 1 1/2 weeks to arrive.

Haven't flown or finished building yet. But everything in the kit is there and of acceptable quality.

Nippon Dave would be out o' business very quickly if he charged $2.50 shipping for items that cost $35 to send

We charge $2.50 for shipping parts orders, and pay about $5.50 on average to the post office, so for most orders you get a $3.00 "bonus" in reduced shipping charges. We just can't do that for kits.

Cheers,

David
