E-Sky King - Sport & Mild 3D

Here is a video of some sport flying and mild 3D with my E-Sky King. This is the first time I've done anything more than sport flying with the heli. It performed very well. I think I'm going to up the pinion to the 9 tooth and get the headspeed up to ~2500 for my next flight though.

In the video I do some stall turns and a few loops and rolls with it along with some stationary flips. I don't have the heli ideally setup for 3D but it flips pretty darn good. The video was also taken with steady 5mph winds gusting to 10-12 mph so as you can see the King handles the wind very well. As a matter of fact I was flying my E-Flite Ultimate right before this and it was having more trouble in the wind than the King was

Here's my current setup:

Motor: JustGoFly 400DH
Pinion: 8 tooth
ESC: MMM 22
BEC: ParkBEC 5V
Battery: ThunderPower 1320mAh 11.1v
AUW: 16.3 ounces with Super Landing Skids and T-Rex canopy.

Head Speed is right around 2200-2300 RPM

Nice flying man, really that was real cool. You should get an onboard video if you could for it, would be nice to see it from birds eye view.

Nice flying L0st =]

How long have you been flying? I remember seeing that specific canopy in some thread a while ago.. Looks like you've yet to crash it! Very cool.

I liked that one flip where someon went "Ho Hooo!" where it kind of slid forward in the inverted part of the flip. Looked real cool

GJ! Lets see some more ;]

Excellent flying L0st,

To everyone who wants to see onboard video of aerobatics, I've made some (I won't sully L0st's thread here by posting them). Onboard video of aerobatics is pretty disorienting from our small helis, piros are just a blur, tictocs only see sky wiggling back and forth, flips are very ho-hum looking, rolls come out cool, but overall there is no sensation of speed from onboard .

I've been flying almost a year. Started with a BladeCP and RealFlight G3. Actually crashed my blade cp trying to do a stationary flip like I did in the King video above. The blade just didn't want to go over and bit the dirt. The stationary flip was the one that had me shaking a bit but once I did it obviously I got a lot more carefree

Here's a video from a year ago almost to the day. Not quite as exciting but at the time I was jumping around at how cool that was lol.
