I also remember hearing, maybe on Wings, that the F-8 could be made to crack mach 1 without afterburner, but just barely.

Its ok if the A-4 cant reach March 1. BUt it done its job, look at the Israeli Air Force A-4, i think they utilise them well

Agreed - speed isn't everything. The A-10 is a prime example, the only jet in the inventory that gets bird strikes on the rear of the canopy.

Nose art? All I see is a red nose, with a little of the tan camoflage painted over it, and then the aircraft number. Am I missing something?
