If you check out the threads, that plane had a LOT of problems:
- Bad servos
- bad motor mount
- The wings were super strong but the fuse wasn't (a hard landing could crack the fuse)
- Also several complaints that the plane was too heavy

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...z+yak&page=114

Let's hope they learned from that one when they release this one...

So what is Carbon Z? . They have put some carbon rods in the Z-foam and applied for patent protection

That's just plain indecent

I guess that means all of the Super Strykers built in this forum are in violation? (only if you make a living selling them I guess)

Nah... But it might be difficult for HH to claim it was their invention....
Someone else deserves some credit!
HH should offer a free Scimitar to every Stryker maniac who has modified a Stryker with carbon rods and documented it by posting pictures....
That's my opinion!

Check out this explanation of Carbon Z.

Just saw it (the video) a little while ago.

What is Carbon-Z technology? (12 min 46 sec)

I like when they put the 45lb weight on the wing....and the hinge they're using for the control surfaces allows less restrictive movement...

I'd let a few others buy it and see how it goes. The Carbon Z Yak 54 had a LOT of problems with the servos which this plane is using the same ones... Sure would suck to have to pay $400 for a plane and then turn around and spend another $100 to replace the 5 servos that are in it... (and possibly wreck your plane when a servo fails)

There were so many crashes on the Yak 54 that a crash thread was started for it (that's not good).

I was actually interested in the Yak till I found those threads...

Micro Stryker now available at Horizon. Of course I am maxed out with my R/C budget right now. But I will definitely get one eventually.

No offense imagined, not even for a second Oly.

Let's get back to Strykers... how about that new $400 one for grown ups? Sorry to throw yet another one at you Johnny...

43" wingspan, retracts, rudders, and thrust vectoring!

IT NEEDS A LOT MORE POWER - so give them a hand guys!

Ok... Call me an old-timer but I'm glad I have 6 PKZ1267s on the shelf.... With my recent crash history they should last about 20 years.....
