You should just pick up a 2836 2350kv and run a APC 6 x 4 sport prop.
Start out with a 3s batt and later step up to 4s with no other changes needed.
I love that setup.
It's cheap, fast and even runs in the stock mount if you hog it out a little with a dremel sanding drum.

2836 ?

That is not what I had in mind when I said he needs a good motor.

But I guess it all depends on a person's budget.

To get help with Turnigy motors:

A friend just stuffed his Stryker into ground...The fuse is smashed beyond repair.

Gary's motor mount is still in its place in the back of fuse and holding on to the 180+ gram motor.
He might post a pic....or let me post it.

****The motor mount just more than paid for itself.

Rim,
7X6 ....oooh testing the limits because you can (given your cool Canadian air).
Better now than later on in summer.

That will be some great power in that 7" prop.
Vertical acceleration runs will see max AMPs for longer.

Be extra safe/careful today if the build is on light side,

2000 posts huh, way to go Rim.

Well I did get to get out for a flight yesterday,it was quite windy, but the Stryker took it in stride!!!!

I find with perfect COG in the dots,it's really sensitive to inputs.

I did do the "dive" test also, when in a full dive with no power it will stay in the desired angle of attack with the R stick hands free.

That is the proper way for dive COG testing is it not??

It sure is, now you gotta nail it as you are running straight ......... if she stays true, you are good to go, if she goes up or down, its a thrust line issue !!!!!

Hello stryker team! What a great season for flying we are having! I can't believe how often I've crashed with my original F27C brushless motor grinding the prop into the ground at full throttle....until my reflexes finally turned off the power. Many times I thought this motor had a bent shaft due to the extreme forces it has been subjected to time and time again. But in the end I always find that after careful inspection....it turns out to be a bent adapter...or I had the adapter cranked too tight.....or I reamed out the prop off center. This skinny motor shaft is still perfectly straight as the day it was made. I even took the motor apart and beat on it with a hammer once. It must be made out of cryptonite!
