A couple of this setup with a 2400 pack would be nuts in the P-38

The numbers I have for the 2210-12 star are

970 KV
0.37 Amp
0.615 ohms
2.1 oz Weight

But I have never tested a 2210-12 star to verify the parameters.

Potential GWS-38 flyers -

I've been literally dreaming of this plane. The manuver is a BIG loop, with a Victory roll coming out, arching up to the left. But I don't see landing gear in my dreams! So the question is - do I want to make a ROG or belly lander? Your collective thoughts (or dreams?).

Thanks Ken...

You gonna belly land with 3 blade props, or just using 2 blade? Could be interesting...

I started making my own scale retracts for my FW... will be similar to the robarts big ones; take a shot at building your own.. its kinda fun...

Make a ROG first, once it's trimmed out and flying nicely then pull the gear off.

That is an option. Hand launching on a maiden is always a gut turning event - you have 5' of altitude and virtlually no airspeed. I like those mini spring air retracts Ken. I may get those and fit them into my NPS GWS-38 (after I have worked the kinks out of the first one.)

I plan to use the 9 x 7.5 two blader untill I get the retracts, then go to with 3 blade props.

I tried to belly land my newly converted 109E --> 109G6 with a 3 blade prop today .. hmm didn't work so well, and popped a blade out (so I put landing gear on it). The 3 blader sure looks a lot better than the 2 blade

Ray,

Are there gonna be 2 brushless options for the GWS38? one with 2208's, one with 2212's ?

I was only aware of the 2208 version.

I think GWS38 doesn't need brushless motors. They are too fast... Especially if we want scale performances.
