closeups of the rudder and elevator linkages in action can be seen in the other thread (before painting). one servo for both rudders (connector rod under the elevator), one for elevator.

I plan on attaching the inner "servo covers" with screws, so i can access the push-rod adjustments if necessary.

Wow!

I tested my motor set-up this afternoon with an EagleTree datalogger to see exactly what was going on. To recap, I'm using two TowerPro 2409-12 on a pair of TowerPro 15A ESCs turning APC 8*4 props. Realizing this is static, at WOT, I was drawing 39.8 amps and 409 watts. At 1/2 throttle, I was drawing 25 amps and 262 watts. Crudely divide by two and I'm just under the absolute max for a short WOT burst. This weekend I hope to run this test in the air to see what if any unloading happens.

Mr. Lin,

Something is fishy about the prices of the brushless system. You are selling the individual brushless inrunners for USD23 ( If I remember correctly ). So, the total for two brushless should be USD46. Therefore, for the Me262 (no paint) with brushless motors, the total should come out to a total of 40+46=USD86. Why are you asking for USD100 for the kit?

Did I get some prices wrong for the motors or are you including the ESC with the kit?

chewy,

Maybe the additional cost is for motor mounts? Just a guess.

Pat

Pat, the aluminium motor mounts spacers (non GWS) are selling for RM7 (USD2.00) each in Malaysia. So, the total, if we add two in would be 40+46+4 = USD90. It still does not add up.

Just received an email from Joyce. The motors are being sold at 25 each. She quoted 4 for USD100. So, I guess that's ok.

Stop ignoring our price concerns.

Man, I see GWS raising prices trying to get more on every chance they get here. They never even addressed our concern on early bird R&D discounts... not once.

Mr. Lin, will you at least address our concerns here? Stop ignoring them. You've already lost half of the early bird members for outrageous shipping and prototype kit costs...

Seeing the current trend, I think I too will opt out of the earlybird GWS262.

I just want to see him acknowledge our concern, thats all.

Hi Chris,

This 3900kv inrunner had been quoted at US$25 per piece in US market (US MSRP) for an year. I've been told that it has just been quoted in US$35 since days ago owing to its components' prices according to boss.

Please be reminded that Early Bird could order his/her NPS Me-262 version at USD40 per kit plus USD50 for getting two pieces of 3900kv inrunner to come with. The price of this inrunner remians unchanged for Early Bird member. I'd think it's something like a discount.

You extend the "old" price for a few days? Not impressive. I'm getting a 262 anyway, but with better pricing I'd get 2. Hopefully I won't need and spare parts until the SG kits hit stores.

The main thing that bothers me is that I'm quite certain I didn't pay full retail for my early EDF-55 A-10, and I don't know when the policy changed.

I have a hard time complaining with access to these first new kits in years, but the other guys really do have a point. You guys no doubt will look carefully at the Early Bird program sales compared with everything else before the next couple of models enter production. Hopefully we're useful enough to save us some money...
