i suspect that's the issue, they claimed to have them on order for quite a while.

I have some of these coming too. If you get a chance to post your numbers on them that would be awesome.

I got some amp measurements on the 2208 on 3S.

with the GWS HD 1060 it pulled 11.5amps
with the APC 8*8E prop it pulled about the same, 11.7amps

that's about the max suggested for the motor and it did get hot pretty quick.

This is the results I got, on the 2208-18T when using the GWS 8 x 6 HD on 3 cells.

GWS 8 x 6 HD Propeller

8.68.....Amps
10.96...Volts
452.....grams thrust
16.14...oz thrust
8,000...RPM
95......Watts
45.45..MPH pitch speed

Pleanty of thrust and pitch speed and well within the 120 Watt power limit.

Would an APC 8x6 perform similar to the GWS 8x6HD?

I do not have an APC 8 x 6 to test but I asume that the results would be similar. There is one problem however. APC recomend a maximum of 8125 RPM for the 8 x 6 Slowfly propeller and with unloading in flight the combination would probably exceed that. It would be best to use the APC 8 x 6 EP Propeller

Just got the payment information from GWS. Looks like they are ready to ship out the kits. Anyone know if that fax number they give to authorize payment is toll free or not? I was expecting paypal or something like that not having to fax the information.

Same here - I did the same thing you probably did and ask how to make payment. GWS asked for a credit card and I am hesitant to send it out via e-mail.

Your most likely going to pull more amps with the APC over the GWS but you might get a slight performace bump.

Make sure you check it with an amp meter either way.

It doesn't look toll free to me. I think the 886 is the country code

I had my wife forward me the email from home. I filled out the CC form, and I bet we can just scan them and send them back via email instead of faxing. I will ask Joyce to see if we can do this.

Wow your a daring individual. E-mail is one of the easiest things to steal over the internet. I'd recommend not doing that if I were you.

GWS should be able to setup a secure page to let users input the information.

Well I asked my HR person here how to fax internationally and was told to just put 011 in front of the country code. I tried that with the first number that Joyce gave and I listened to it go through and talk to something and send the pages but then when it came back I got a BUSY/NO RESPONCE return code from my fax machine

sucks.

Our lady here recommended if possible to use our copier to create a pdf to send. It's like 2 am in Taiwan though so I doubt we will hear anything till later. Would like to know if my fax went through but I doubt it did. I hate faxing. would be nice if GWS could set up a paypal account and send us all invoices

GWS Chen PM'ed and said GWS would support essentially a split transaction where
"you could fax the credit card form with the essential informations partially filled to GWS, then send your e-mail with the rest of informations to GWS account. Your name, address and The Authorized Amount could not be filled up partially, and you'd need to state your full name on your mail enabling GWS to identify these deals respectively." A little kludgy but if you are a modeler, a kludge is part of the game.

I finally got a fax to go thru. had to use the second number she gave. The first one did not respond. Chen told me the same thing. I was already having the connection fee and being charged for a minute anyway so made since to just send both pages
