Hi Ray

The canopy looks much better - is this the final version?

Actually the canopy still looks like it is on backwords to me.

I hope that is not the final version.

I'm surprised Mr Lin has not posted it here, but here is what he has said on a few other threads regarding shipping of the GWS-38:

But, packed in white box, black and white manual...

I agree the canopy still needs work. The front windscreen should have a steeper rise. It's too laid-back right now!

Patients kid.

We have the ability to influence GWS into making the product the way it should be. They know the canopy needs work. I am willing to wait for a scale canopy rather than get a hastily thrown together toy.

I understand that but still we are looking at a foam airplane ,a fun airplane, we are not at the scale nationals, I can understand the need for a closer scale like canopy but lets keep things in perspective , these airplanes are fun scale ....as we should be having fun with them ,, I have a GWS Corsair not to much scale there but I sure have fun with it.. But I still see your point that if we dont voice our opinions that we will get just whatever they want to give us ,, And I do agree on the canopy issue

Some of these changes my be due to the licensing issues. Do not expect a 100% scale airplane as that was not GWS's goal. They are releasing a plane that resembles but is not a P-38. It's a GWS-38.

I agree with L0st and Kid.

They made an effort to fix it (more than it was), and that's good enough for me if they can dodge the copyright infringement bullet and keep these models out for everyone to enjoy.

If everyone here wanted "scale", then we most likely wouldn't be in the GWS Forum... and we'd have to spend much more money.

I'd like to see it before the end of Sept or November please... and thanks to GWS for the effort on listening to our voices and opinions.

You are right -- that is MS Paint Editing Version.

We will try to ship to Early Bird as early as possible.

I know manual may not be the issue to Early Bird. They are working on it now.

For mass products, it must come with manual. It will be ready at GWS around the end of Sept.

I will post more photos here.

I got an e-mail from Joyce, yestrday, asking for confirmation of my kit choice and address so I don't think the Early Bird is too far away.
