Photos of GYM-E my favorite model of all time
I was able to get a few in flight shots of my Gym-E today.
As you can see, I generally fly in a pretty tight space between my house and a tree line. You can see what is left of my golf course landing green after the summer drought. (not much)Several of these photos were taken from my deck. I sometimes stand high on my deck and fly the airplane below me. In 30 years of modeling, I have never had more fun with ANY model. Guess I'm just a low and slow kind of guy? Hope you enjoy these photos!

We had at least four of them at the Puget Sound Silent Flyers' event today in Lacey, Washington (mine, Roger Taylor's, Mitch Poling's and Todd's). Several other folks left with kits (seeing as Todd brought some stock along). Interestingly the same four of us had Wing-Es, too
.We sure had fun in a small space of the flying site with them on several occasions .

Bernard, correct me if I'm wrong here... but I'm reading between the lines that heat #1 of the racing at Chilliwack will be Gym-E's and heat #2 will be Wing-E's. That's the basic idea, right?

You'll have to ask Ron about that....
![]() But it's funny you should mention that - at one time yesterday we had three Gym-Es up at once and briefly discussed amongst ourselves that racing them would be rather amusing. We did chase each other around quite a bit - my full-length antenna was dubbed a streamer by Todd and he chased me around quite a bit. On the second flight, after I'd shortened the antenna (and cut the glitching way down) we ganged up on Roger Taylor. |

Racing them little boogers, eh? Where do I place my bets! I expect BEC and Dreamer to have "secret weapons".

My wife had the idea of using pool noodles for the pylons, as they're firm enough to stay upright, but soft enough to not do damage or bring to plane to a dead stop if they're hit... just a thought

That would certainly work for Gym-E racing. I don't think I'd want pylons that short for Wing-E or Switchback races......but I'm a chicken about such things
