New Product
Micro Mosquito, 25grams 3ch heli

Petter Murren, inventor of the Proxflyer principle and the well known Bladerunner made a smaller version.
About the same size as the PicooZ, it will be in shops in the USA (Radio Shack) first half of September, Eutope end of September.
Price will be around 70 dollars, this one is 3 channel though Wink

Video: http://www.prox.no/MM-video.wmv

Micro Mosquito:
Rotor diameter: 160 mm (PicooZ: 140mm...)
Weight: 25 grams
Control: 3 ch. digital FM
Motors: 7 mm coreless + 4 mm for tail
Battery: 160 mAh li-po
Flight time: about 10 min./Charging 30 min.

Control is the same as the first Bladerunner, this one is half the size/weight though and has the looks of his Proxflyer prototypes

I ordered mine the second they got them "IN STOCK" but a couple e-mails and site checks (not to mention posts made by others here) have got me wondering if my order even will translate into me actually HAVING one of these in my hand in "3-8 business days". & what ever happened to RadioShack, com's "free shipping on orders over $50" thing??
( they probably took that away for now because they knew if this thing was gonna sell as hot/fast as the PiccoZ did on their site, they'll make a TON more money, that and X-mas is around the corner)

On a side note, after watching that above video for the Misquito (probably for the 10th time since the 1st time I saw it a while back), I noticed that not only does the MicroMosquito LOOK like a bug, with my speakers all the way up the sound it makes emulates that of an outdoor night-time ambience (sounds like crickets and other bugs in the distance ) L0L .....ahh I love it!

i've read a LOT of posts about issues with radio shack and their "in stock, not in stock" problems. some people ordered when it said it was in stock, then later in the day they got an email saying the product was out of stock, and their order was cancelled. they dont do a very good job of updating the site i dont think, they said there wernt any Picco's at the RS a few miles down the road from me, but i stopped by and they had 5 or 6 of them

Pjotrrr, i can probably send you one when they get here if you havent gotten one already by that point. i'm hoping they come out soon. i'm also hoping they come out before the gyrotor, cause i know i'll end up buying whichever one comes out first (i'm such a sucker!).

@micro builder: Thanks for the offer, now I really hope they will be available soon
Let's keep in touch!
Stay away from that GyRotor, it's no more then a faster flying, bit more precize steering PiccoZ.
Better save that money for a MicroMosquito or an Esky Lama v3 if you want something big....

It's FINALLY almost out? Excellent! I'm glad to see it has "full" controls, I thought it wasn't going to have the tail motor on it.

local RS guy was having NO LUCK as he was trying to see if he could do a DIRECT 2 U thing for me, it kept giving him a question he ad already answered, and upon filling the "question" out, he would just keep going around in circles with it!?! He didn't understand either & also said they have no number they can call the warehouse or something like that. ALSO: Has anyone else noticed that the "find it near you" zipcode thing says something like 'In store product availability is not available. Please try again later.'?

bummer to hear yours didnt work out that well. its no differant than most of the other new micro toys though, with mass production its hard to catch it when theres something wrong. the other bladerunners, the picco, aeroace, they all seem to have their own little issues that need to be fixed, by the buyer usually. but, normally, it just takes a little tinkering to get it working properly.

if you want to get rid of it, let me know, i may be able to take it off your hands.

Yeah, the first gen Bladerunner was a huge bust because they put a really bad battery cell in it. People were getting anywhere from 5 seconds to 1 minute of flight time and that was it!! And it got worse from there each time you flew it!! Over a year later those first gen BRs were still in the retail system and turning people off of their first heli experience. Hopefully this isn't an indication that the same thing is going to happen with the Mosquito!
