Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is my great sorrow to see Space Shuttle Discovery (Tail Number: OV-103) to leave Kennedy Space Center for the last time and never to return.

Honestly, I had to force a smile on my face. I was thinking what the hell are we all in a mood to celebrate about???

I just hope D.C. takes good care of Discovery so, everyone can enjoy coming up close to a real live Space Craft.

She's gone to a good home - the staff at Udvar-Hazy are awesome, and I am sure they will take excellent care of this national treasure.

Yes correct, I have no issues with Udvar-Hazy just that this nation has been left without any way to send our own into space without paying the asking price from another country who does have an active Space Craft that can go into space!

Keith and I got out on beach road just east of the runway,at 615 AM...we watched in silence as 23 years of work and dedication drifted north to its final home.

They took an excellent spacecraft that was currently flying and turned it into some sort of monument of what we had,but may never see again
in our lifetime.

Once you have disassembled a space program,it will be a matter of time when more gets cut,until there is nothing left...
