Put your location in your profile.

But if you are in the US then RCFoam is a good source for EPP or any other materials for F3P planes.

We have EPP and Depron as well as carbon fiber and more over here at West Michigan Park Flyers LLC

We also have wooden control horns and custom laser cutting.

My contribution

Here is a plan for the Wametsey, the plane I design last winter and flew for most of the winter. Those who are competition flyers may think it is a little simplistic for them but I am kind of proud of it. I think less is more so I purposely did away with as much as I could to keep the weight down. The plane flys uite well and I hope that if anybody decides to build it they will let this group know what they think about the way it flies. Mine usually weight between 115g and 120g ready to fly. I prefer 2s 180mah with a e-flite park 250 and a GWS 8 X 4.3. I get a solid 4 minute flight out of this set up.

Interesting drag brake on the back of the rudder. Doesn't this upset the elevator trim at different speeds...or is that the intention?

Just an optical illusion that it is sort of "up"?
If you look at the pdf the drag brake on the rudder is perpendicular to the "datum" line.

That would have been too easy. Much better to speculate and make an erroneous comment

I just came back from a week long business trip, sorry I could not reply sooner,

There is a short crappy video on my blog, just double click on my name or Avatare. Please keep in mind I am a very average sunday flier and the video was shot on the very first flight when I had zero mixes. I have since been flying it alot and this plane now makes me look alot better then I really am.

Mike, Pat is correct the drag brake is 90 degrees to the thrust/flight line and it does not change the trim.

I will try to get a full size PDF up soon

For the milling of the Micro Afriel is is better to cut the fuse in half and then mill or do it before milling?
Thanks

I personally would keep the parts as large as possible before milling as it makes them easier to work with

Small parts are awkward to mill unless you have transparent milling templates.

Jim, I saw your message on the WMAC site but am having difficulty loading it down here. If you mill only triangles on the little models (or small parts of a big one) you will end up with very little milled away. I have templates for milling a 560mm and a 500mm Afriel that you can borrow.
