Knive edge had virtually no coupling either direction and the roll rate was manic. Once again, thanks for sharing this design. I'll grab my camera at the weekend and post an image or two next time out.

Glad you like it Mike.

When I designed the Afriel it was always intended to have a nice feel when flown slowly. It surprises most pilots just how slow the Afriel can be flown and retain accuracy.

Some pictures would be nice of plan built Afriel's if you would like to kick one off

I have printed off the tiled version, thanks Dylan. It has come out at a 470mm wing span. I may build it this size for my micro 4 site gear however, I am looking for about 560mm as I will be using an A05 motor on 2s 180ma batteries. If I enlarge from A4 to A3 I believe this would give me a span of about 660mm. is this too big for my gear?
I will try and post pictures when I have built one

560mm Span Afriel EVO

560mm span it is then

Not the best tiled plan and don't forget the tabs etc are not scaled for this size.

Ducky, I just re-read, are you printing the tiled plans an A4 (210mm x 297mm) or letter (81/2 x 11")???

That would have stuffed me up! I re-do a set in both tile sizes. The current one is for letter tiles. And will also include the additional parts

3hrs 48mins...

Dylan, I am printing on A4.

Andy, I have checked the span on your 560mm version and its printed out at 520mm !! Its no big deal as I will cut it out with a margin to make up the difference. Perhaps I am not printing it out correctly

Most printers default settings are normally something like "shrink to fit page"
Make sure your setting are for "No Scaling"

I dont do tiled plans myself as its too much pain, much rather spend a fiver and get it printed.
