I noticed that!!!

But I am half way through now and it can still be tricky so will finish the job. It's easy in PDF but some printer software/ drivers make things confusing.

I'm almost home so 24 hours and they will all be waiting. Good call though !
Cheers

The first tiled plan is here - about time!

Sorry for the delay guys, but now as I have the template set-up, it's all good.

Computer's suck at the best of times....

just a few notes.

The tiles come out of your printer in reverse for a reason. Then, just as you write; starting at the top left-hand coner of the page until you reach the end of the line you start a new line under that. It's not rocket surgery or brain science already.

Now, these are all coming out in 11 x 8.5 yankee style. I will do a metric set once finished the whole lot.

It will become obvious, but the overlap for every page is exactly 1 inch. but the Registration marks will show you that anyway. Could someone please print out the first few pages of this file to make sure the registration marks are not too close to the edge of the paper (just look at the other attachment). If they do not print I can move them in.

Also, when you print the plans just all you need to worry about are two things:

1. Paper size is 11 x 8.5
2. There is always an Option box that will say something like

a) Scale media to fit
b) Scale media by a nominated Percentage
c) Do not Scale Media

C is always the answer; rookie trap i have fallen into too many times!
okay, on with the rest of them.
cheers

Morback 4d

There were 2 Morback designs floating about. The only - immediate - difference I could see was that this version had some additional airbrakes or or stand-off's between the wings?

Apart from that they looked the same; could be wrong.

Okay, I will wait until a few of people have printed out the plans and can confirm the registration marks appear. The template is set up now so each plane only takes about 1/2 hour. But if the template is wrong, it's wasted time. for me...

I am very excited about F3P as like many of you I'm sure have pretty much flown every other size plane and heli there is

13 & 16 downloads of the plans thus far and only one person has given the tech feedback I asked for.

Am I missing something?

I'm away from home for work so I won't be able to print them until next weekend. They look like they are going to work though. Is there any way to avoid printing out the color bars on every sheet? With home printing ink costing what it does, I don't see a need for doing that, even using the print in black only option.

Removing colour is no problem at all. PmMac and Aio found a bug or two and gave some suggestions for a simple fix, so it's all down hill from here.

The registration marks were actually set at the physical boarder of the 11 x 8.5 sheet, so I'm just re-setting those. The only thing I cannot do is number the pages!! which is crazy. But we can live without that.

All good and doing a plan every time I get a spare moment.

PS I have also tested in Adobe PDF 10
cheers

Done and done.

I have removed the colour bars and also the registration guides now print. This is good because it's a little dangerous to rely on paper edges.

Enjoy!! Post a pic for a laugh

cheers

The Morback 4D - revised.

These plans, have the registration marks that will print.

Enjoy.

P.S. I'm being a little slow, apologies is there a specific plan someone would like to put in front of the cue ? As I'm just choosing them at random now...

Also, if anyone is having any probs with the plans pls let me know so I can amend

Let me know

Cheers

F6Bert's Xtra

I fly a an IMAC SupaXtra 40% with a DA - 150. 3.1m span.

So thought I'd do Bert's next, I have retraced the plans ( Well the computer did...), so don't be too concerned if the outliine goes thick then thin a little. Just go the middle.

Cheers

Dylan,

I'm not familiar with this Xtra design. Do you have any more info, links and/or pictures for it? If so I'll add it to posts 1 and 2 of the thread.

Has Bert made this design publicly available? (I see the plan says "Copyright Bert Avonds 2010" which is odd for a publicly distributed plan)

Thanks,

Aidan

Hi Aidan,

These Plans are from Post #253 in this thread and Bert posted them and unless I read his message wrong his intent was to share them with everyone. If you have a different take, by all means take them down, but I'm pretty sure it's okay?

Cheers

That's perfect Dylan. I obviously wasn't paying attention when Bert posted that. I'll copy it into the first 2 posts later on.

Thanks

Aidan

Not full blown F3P or AM but a couple of Micro's on one plan.

Afriel Extreme. There's a build thread in the Micros section of an EPP version built from my drawings by Gary Holland. I thought it was fair to include them here as the original model was designed for Aeromuscial competition.
