Cox models 'Sky Cruiser'
There was a 60% discount at a Big 5 Sporting goods store some time ago, and I picked up a plane that looks just about like this:
I've tried to fly it once stock at the field, but it either didn't charge correctly, or the power is just not there. However, I think there may be some room for modification, and additon of higher quality equipment.
In fact, with those outboard wing flap things already on there, and a small square of thicker foam on the wing, it could be a good canidate for elvrons. Also, it doesn't look too hard to pry apart the fuse, and it is farily light for it's wingspan.
So, has anyone done anything with these models before? And, what kind of power setup might work with it?
