Best charger/discharger $ can buy

If money is no object, what would be the best battery charger/discharger/maintenance unit that could do flight/tx/rx? from 110mAH~3000mAH NiCD/NiMH/LiIon.
Just curious, I don't really have much money but curious about your dream machine.

Orbits are good, but the isl8 has more features.

I have an isl8, and isl6, and Orbit Pro, a Ginzel, a couple of Astros, and probably some I've forgoten about. Buying chargers is the best part of eflight<G>.

What did you pay for the Schulze isl8-936g? I'm seeing them at nearly $800!

For $200 the Obrit is looking real good.

Also, didn't notice if the Schulze does Lithium cells???

If you really-really-really want the best, you might consider this PC driven, dual channel, completely user programmable, graphic results storing, battery analyzer.

Just ask the man that owns one.

The only problem I see with the UBA4 is that it will only charge at 2A max and discharge at 2.5A max.

Did I miss something?

All the current Schulze models do Lithium even the little 6-330 which is rather more comparable to the Orbit and a lot nearer to a sensible price.

Yes, the current versions of the schulzes do Li-Ion (and Li-Metal - aka Tadiran - if anyone has any of those left) as well. I charged a QC830 pack on my isl 6-330d just the other day.

Ok, still trying to decide between the 6-330d, Orbit, and Ginzel unit. I like the fact that I can save $$$ and get the Ginzel as a kit, but that's not really that important in the desicion.

My quesiont is, where is the best place to purchase these units?

I found the Orbit at edogfight.com for $220.00

Thanks again for your help. I'm getting tired of messing with cell phone chargers for my li-poly and ion packs.

The Ginzel charges lithiums very well. There is also a slowflyer option available that uses a different resistor that's 10 times as sensitive at one tenth the charge rate, so it's very kind to small batteries. In regular mode, it'll charge everything else. I've used Orbits and Schulzes and like them alot, but the Ginzel had more features that were for me. I think they are all nice.

Sorry to disappoint, but the top end Schulze 8-936g does NOT do lithium cells. All their other models do though.

The Ginzel (kit) at $160 looks like the best bang for the buck. If I had a larger budget it might be a different storry.
