I am going with this one: The 2712-17 is a '300 class' 1700KV and use 7035 prop.

No pictures until I either get my old PC back or find a cable for this one but here's the breakdown...
EMax CF2805 20 amp esc 9 gr servos AR6100 Rx 7.4v 1250mah Rhino Using a TP 7x6E my numbers off the Wattmeter are as follows: 14.93 amps 6.46 volts 96.7 watts AUW is 10.6 oz but I need to move the CG forward about a 1/2" before I fly it...I don't think it will take too much weight to dial it in. |

Yeah if you went with 3s then you'd be good.
Get a CC 18 ESC (probably lighter too) But this is a very cost effective setup for sure. |

Hi guys im struggling to get any power to fly my swift i have a dualsky 2822cs motor its a 1450kv 24t motor with a 25 amp esc and 2s 800mah battery is the battery the issue? it just falls from the sky with no power?

erozion looking at the prop data it looks like you are making around 8 ounces thrust which is probably not very much fun. I would try a 7x4 APC SF with a 3s and see if that doesn't work better for you.

Thanks smoke, I upgraded to the 2830-8ca motor with a 8x6 prop on 3s now it goes like a rocket.

Right on...glad you have it going the way you like now.
I ended up adding almost an ounce to get it to balance right so now my AUW is 11.5oz. I think I can live with it. Now if the dang wind would just quit blowing  .

Is it necessary to add carbon rods to stiffen the wing? if so which thickness and where?
