i certainly will! thanks andy.

oh,one more question....can you buy the stock motor mounts separate anywhere or do they only come with the kit? mine is looking a bit tatty and i would like to stick a nice new one on there,it kinda lets the look of the wing down as it is... thanks.

Here's the link for a new mount, http://www.mscomposit.com/airplanes/...ion-mount.html

You could always paint your old mount, I did. In fact my whole wing was looking a bit tatty, so I spray painted the lot, it certainly stands out in the sky now.

Thanks, I use Model Color paints, I water them down by a third so I can spray them on.

I've got a Hacker SkyCarver, which I believe is a gussied up SwiftII. http://www.aero-model.com/Hacker-Sky...m-Edition.aspx

It's my first flying wing, and I plan on going with a "light" set-up. 1700kv BW, GWS HD 7x3.5, etc, etc...

I've got a BUNCH of different adhesives available. Of the following, which do you guys think will produce the lightest, yet most effective bond on the EPP?

CA, PU(gorilla glue, both white and original), West Systems G/flex laminating resin, "Welders glue", standard BSI epoxy 5min, 15min, and 20min finishing.

For ultimate strength, I think the G/flex with a strip of FG or CF around the joint, DLG style, would be the way to go. But I don't plan on hot rodding this thing. Noise at our field is a big issue. I'm certain to get a few dirty looks just showing up with a wing, regardless of what motor it has.

Would pre-foaming some PU so it doesn't squish out be overkill?

I've heard of some say to stay away from CA when building these. If I only plan to putz around with a li'l BW and catch a few thermals here and there, wouldn't a decent CA joint be good enough?

All thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

i have used ca on mine without problems, although ca can sometimes make quite a brittle bond. i have found uhu por gives a much stronger bond between the surfaces (apply to both surfaces, leave to cure until dry to the touch,10/15 mins, and then press together, but you prob know that already!). got my uhu por on the bay.

Yep, plus one on the UHU por, that's what I use.

my hk ss 25/30 esc is getting really hot on my current setup no matter what prop i use : 1300 3s lipo,2x hxt900,orange 6ch rx, 1500kv outrunner, apc 7x5 prop so i figure i may have a dodgy esc (have the same esc on one of my axn using an apc and 2200 lipo and thats fine) so am going to replace it with this (lighter than the ss too) 20a esc

http://robotbirds.com/catalog/produc...oducts_id=1378

just wondered if anyone has used one before? specs seem quite good and according to the site its the latest version/firmware.

thanks

Thanks guys. I've got some Welders Glue contact cement. I guess I'll go with that. It get's hot here in the desert, so I think that's less likely to get brittle and crack than CA, or even epoxy.

Do you know who manufactures that ESC? It could be a rebranded hobbywing, ZTX, or mystery ESC.

interesting you should say that mate,as the programming card that they say is used to programme it looks to be the same as the one used for the turingy esc's... this is the one they advertise for it....

That is a really cool paint scheme.
I had the black stripes on mine made with tape and it really helps.

Hi IceWind

Thanks for the compliment, I'm glad the stripes worked well for you too.
Cheers

Hey guys, Airbagit and I have made some cool products for the Swift.

http://www.ezfpv.com/?page_id=101

The motor mount is a direct replacement for the stock one...and the skids are just badass.
