Great Planes S.E.5a WWI EP ARF
I just saw this over on the Tower site, it says it is made of balsa and plywood. Looks neat, I wonder if they will be releasing a D-VII and a Camel??

That is cool. Looks great. I hope that they are quicker getting these into stock then they were with the last two electric warbirds. They advertised those for over a year before they were available.
Guess I'll have to save my E-flite 400-920 out runner for this one. It should be a real chugger on 2 cells and an 11x7 prop. I need some place to use my old 2 cell packs any way.
There has been a shortage of WW-1 planes to choose from,,,,, this should fill the bill if we can get it before Christmas.

Sweet looking, but I agree it's a bit smaller than I'd hoped for.
I was hoping GP would eventually do an SE-5A in the same size as their big Stearman and P6E. Those two make great e-conversions, and the big LiPos and outrunners are getting cheap enough that it doesn't mean taking out a second mortgage to do it.
I'd be all over a big GP SE-5A like a duck on a june bug, but I guess I'm back to converting my old Top Flite SE-5A to electric.

Didn't Peter Rake draw up some plans for a small 3 channel SE5 ? wingspan ?
This may fly very well if it is close to a Peter Rake design .
For the wishes for a larger SE5a , didn't Hobby People sell a larger 50 " wingspan SE5a that was gas powered that some people converted to electric ?
OH I can't hardly wait for this GP SE5a , I enjoy both of my GP Super Sportsters , regular and mini both fly well for me .
