The file is a.pdf file, this format needs Adobe Acrobat installed, or the free Adobe Reader you can download from here :

http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Also, there's a slight error in the naming of the file... it should end in .pdf so remove everything after this in the name. Opens fine then.

It worked fine for me....though the download box did take a little while to actually start doing anything. Try it again and wait a bit.

If you still can't get it, PM me with an email address and I'll mail you the one I downloaded - no problem

Wonderful effort, Mitja. Very impressive...I have been imagining such a plane for some time but was unable to get it all sorted out....You've done all the work for me and you are willing to share.....Great!
I've been able to download the plans on a single PDF sheet but am interested in using a "tile" program to get full-sized version. Can anyone suggest a specific FREE tile program to download & use? Thanks to all

Hi to all!

Sorry for troubles that some of you encounter with downloading.
I havent no troubles so far, so I thought that everything was O.K.

I will upload also a Tiled plans shortly, so you will be able print each paper on home printer (A4 or letter) and then glue all sheets togethet to get one large plan in full scale.
I was on vacations over the weekend...just return home now, so I am a little overwhelming with emails and posts on forums that I must go trough....

About the KIT, I will ask my friend, who take over the KIT production and sale, if he is prepared to send the packages over the border.
I will post here information about, as soon I get them.

You will get a zip file, which contains pdf plans for both versions (normal wing, and hotliner wing) manual with over 40 pictures, and also a DXF plan of Guppy.

Thank you, I'll give it a try. It's great to see original designs out there still. I've always considered myself an own designer/builder but work and other things seem to come first nowadays .. I appreciate how much effort goes into developing such a model and think it's fantastic that you want to share it with all of us...

Do you have any pictures of the "hotliner" version ? I've downloaded plans for it and I'm going to build one next winter. I'd like to see what it is going to look with that almost straight wing.

I planned to use carbon strips for wing spars to add strenght for the wing (is it necessary?). And to add some bling bling looks I'm going to mold carbon canopy for it (looks damn good on white fuse...). And maybe going with V-tail, don't know yet, I like V-tail looks.

I dont have any pictures of my Guppy, with Hotliner wing.
But some builders already build them, so I can show their work:

This one has also a slghtly modified wingtips. Looks good!


This one also looks nice!



This one is still under construction...


From pictures you can observe, that first two Guppies has shorter outer wing panels. I increase them in the published plans for one bay between the ribs toward centroplan in order to increase aileron length.

P.S.: I am not against the "V" tail, but Guppy will lose some points on the outlook if build with V tail. (Just my humble opinnion)
