Adjacent to "Black Hole Swamp" is "Black Hole Forest", aptly named. Turning right back toward the school. That's the eastern branch of the Elizebeth River in the distance

The alley between the school and the trees is usually sheltered from the wind if you stay below about 15 feet.

Heading toward downwind leg for landing approach. That's my van, I'm behind the prop blade. The camera is in the sun, you can see the light shining through the prop blade. Really screws up the pictures at certain angles.

There I am, looks like I fly in that spot too much, I've worn all the grass down.

That's the only plane eating tree around, because it's the only tree I've hit, but I've flown into that one three times. But I blame it all on wind gusts.

On downwind, had to add a little power, you can see the prop again.

180 degree turn onto final, that tree is safe it won't grab at you, but the dumpster next to it is suspect. I've felt a strong pull toward it and had to correct on a number of occasions.

Lining up on the runway, you can see the control tower (me).

Shot taken with my "good" digital camera, the Merlin is draggy, so you can just dive to scrub some altitude and it doesn't pick up much speed.

The AIPTEK mega.. in my inverted vee-tail.. a relatively rigid mount. Almost no waves in any of the images. Difficult to see which were done with motor on vs motor off.
The straightish line just in front of my car is the surface indication of the San Andreas Fault.
I expect to have "beach front property" when it goes..

I don't seem to get the wavy lines often, usually just with full power, but the prop does show up as vertical lines across the top of the image if the throttle is on any at all, but then I'm shooting through the prop arc so that's expected.

The images with mine vary according to the light angle a lot. They go from not bad to pretty crappy, if the lights coming from the side.

Sparky, looks pretty quiet now, but I think I'd take a couple steps back.
