The only thing I have done to the last couple of images is to run the basic "autolevels" on them using ACDSee and to shrink them to a size the E-Zone will swallow.
I have actually tried de-sharpening some images. Sometimes I get a moire or grid pattern effect on stuff like rooftops. Using the "despeckle" filter sometimes helps eliminate them.

hmmm, maybe I still need to go sharper on my inifinty focus.
I set the focus a l;ittle soft today as I thought I had over done it. But I guess not.
My platform is an aventura and I am killing the gas before shots.

from preliminary tests at ground level, it seems I can't turn my
focus far enough to get the distant objects focused.

How distant are those objects? I'd think anything over 50' or so would focus at infinity. I noticed that in some of my photos the far distant stuff is blurry, but it's really atmospheric conditions that are causing it.
Just an idea.

Way of measuring altitide with cam shots
I don't have a digital camera, but I'd like to get into aerial photography. Until I get one, all the pictures I make are going to be earthbound. But even then, I can think of cool things you can do with one.
Heres a simple way to find your altitude. Place your camera something like 6 feet from a wall. Using a yard stick (I used two end to end), measure how many inches it is from side margin to side margin on the wall. Take your two lenghts (Cam to wall and margin to margin) and divide the distance the cam is from the wall by the distance from margin to margin on the wall. The number you get is a ratio. What to call it or what it is really named, I don't know.
After you have taken pictures with your cam, look at the pictures and find landmarks that are near/on the margins, then, go find them and the distance(s) between them. Now, multiply your cameras ratio by this distance. What you get is your planes height when the photo was taken.
