Does any 1 have a 3 view drawing of a CL215 water bomber or know where I can find 1?

I ordered a copy of some plans from a magazine for the CL215 about two years ago. They were good plans for 2 S400s.

The designer is well known for water models.

You might be thinking of Anton Eisele's plans http://www.beldonemodels.com/. He has a 415.

This plane of Laddie's was also a 415. Its not hard to convert one plan to the other though. Mainly a difference in nacelles, winglets and finlets.

I would like to build a smaller version of this plane. Maybe 2 speed 280 DD or Wattage B2 motors if possible.I was thinking around a 30" wingspan but I am not to sure yet. What do you guys think I would beable to get away with for size vs motors?

Two standard Graupner Speed280's, or a pair of Permax280's, will adequately power a lightweight twin, of 36" wing span ( 914mm ), weighing up to 16 ounces ( 450g ).

Don't fit an undercarriage, though !

What props would I use for a speed 280 DD?

I use Gunther 5" props, with the hubs drilled out to 5mm, and fitted to the shafts of the motors with Graupner 2mm prop adaptors, with their cute little domed nuts !

Well I got to do some work on my CL-215 tonight. Tell me what you think? 30" wing span and 22" length. Going to give 2 speed 280's a try.

Yes, Paco !

About 2.8amps

You'll need an 8- or 10-Amp ESC

Trust me - Your CL-215, which looks GREAT, will be overpowered at only 30" wingspan, with two Speed280's

My ~50" Kelly has plenty of power, and that has only the one Speed280 !
