EWO , sorry for not building the Xtra 300 yet ... we've been pretty busy around here getting ready for Hurricane season, The Escape Pod and all the other precautionary stuff you do when you've had the experiences we went through , (not as bad as some , we were LUCKY !!!) ....My FB's are on my butt about " where's my plane " ??? I'm committed to build 4 300's and will start asap ... I'd love to ask you for your new plans (bipe), but I don't want to commit to more building untill I get all this other stuff done ... Hope they're still available when things clear UP ......???? Thanks !!!

Keep the escape Pod handy and loaded down with the nessesaties.

Foamies and such can be replaced easilly.

I have to go see my youngest son tomorrow (HE is in the Hooskow)and will be spending the rest of the weekend at the camp
still think theye will be done on monday.

I got such a kick out of some of my co workers today Before leaving for the day i showed them my viva las vegas video, you know the one,

i thought theye were going to have a kniption........
when it was over , i couldnt get out of there fast enough

Cool, can't wait to see em'.........with the air temp hitting 104 on Monday with the heat indez around 115 I think the boss is gonna give me and the crew the day off.....to hard to keep the compressor and big vaccum cool inside the van......so Monday might be a good build day.............

Sweet lookin bipe...

Question about the 300 though... Wasn't paying attention when I printed out the plans and wound up leaving page scaling on... I've got a 28" WS on this one. Also have now got the templates printed to the correct size but since I've got foam cut out for 28" WS, I figured I'd make it a 'sporty plane' instead of going 3D with it.

I plan to keep it as light as possible, but do you think a J250 will at least fly it if it won't 3D it?

I think that a cdrom would better suit this plane at 28" But
a j250 in a c gearbox with a 0947 prop would certainly fly

Probably 3d with the right cg.

Hrm... I had set aside a 17T cdrom for this plane initially, but then thought it was 'undersized' so was going to save the cd motor for the full-size version. I really just like using these j250's. I should... I have enough of them just waiting to be used.

Ok... Will stick with the original plan then and put the cd motor on the 28" plane.

Only problem... Didn't get to finish tonight... The baby decided he wanted to stay up and play. He usually goes to bed by 9:30 or so, but tonight he just wouldn't stop talking (chattering/babbling). The wife and I laughed with him/at him until about 12:30 when he finally calmed down and went to sleep.

Thats more important than the planes anyway...

EWO , got my first 300 done (airframe built and decorated ) ... freaky flame job on the wing and stab ...FTP... Mine's only 28 1/2 " WS ...???? Weird, but UP90 says because I have a Mac...???
airframe is very light ... cd motor will be installed as suggested .... trying to keep it as light as possible , caues' I know the other guys will put big motors on t ...viz. BP-21, BP-12 and 3s 1500-1900mah lipos ... Heavy , but that's what they like ...

Pics soon as it gets lighter out ...overcast /rainy here ... better now than on the weekend...

Yeah... Them darn Macs that never crash and never have a problem! They're the cause of the worlds problems...
