Just have fun with it and see what happens
Here is a zip file with the parts . it makes it much handier to print out !
Not nearly as much paper or taping togeather

I made a miniature hl glider with the plan last night and it looks like it will work pretty good

Thanks again Ewo. If this is meant to be a 3D ship I may have to change the rudder profile a bit. Looks like it would require alot of coupling right now if it was left as is!

Thanks,

Looks good, EWO.

Funny, several of us have been looking / studying / tinkering, etc with Extra designs lately Brad (Arx n Sparx) is working on a full fuse/folded wing version, as I was and will get back to...

ewo, I'm thinking full box fuse on this one out of 3mm. Now we could go with full contor fuse but that would be harder longer build, require major design and dwgs and than it would hurt more when ya dork it.

ahh I think I'll build the first one out of ol'blu just to be safe.

'OTF' would be my vote! Use the factory fold for the turtle deck, and then box the rest... Just cut the fuse out with the turtle deck flush with the fold, cutting through 2 sheets... simple and strong! Cut pieces for the front deck and bottom, viola! (cut the wing slots before spreading the fuse)

I like the idea of a full fuse I just might try that next.

I might just try a rolled fuse like Gene said.
I know it works, I've done it before.

anyways
Heres what mine looks like right now

30" span 3mm depron and feiago brushless c gearing
3 oz right now without electrics

Well I felt bad about being so greedy for plans that I figure I should atleast post some pictures or feedback about the design. I put mine together in about an hour and a half. I got to try some new building materials like 3mm depron I barely use it but I keep in on hand also I got to try some UHU Creative glue, I almost like it more than hot glue. My plane weighs in at 2 ounces with a 17t motor on it. I have some more build pictures but I figure I would only upload what it looks like now. So far it has been a fun build... I just do not want to destroy the plane yet so it might be a while until I maiden it.
Brian
Update: I finished mine up this evening and the AUW with battery is a whopping 5.75 oz. I did use 9 gram servos on it so that added a bit of weight. Possible maiden tomorrow
BTW: Thanks for the plans
