engine for mojo .40
hey guys i was just wondering what engine you were using on your mojo .40
im thinking about getting one wanted some reccomendations thanks for any suggestions!

You will find many various opinions on this topic, but suffice it to say that the plane will perform well with everything from a TT Pro 46 all the way up to a Saito 91. Virtually EVERY engine that falls between these two will perform well.

IMO the Saito 72 is the perfect Mojo engine. I started with an 82 and thought it was overkill.

The Evolution .46NT is only $89.99 and is a very good engine if you want a 2-stroke.

thanks guys. i was thinking about using the o.s. fl-70 ,do you think it would work good? What is YSs website i want to look into the YS 63.

I wouldn't use the OS FL-70 on a 3D plane. That's a budget 4-stroke, not very high on performance.

I would agree with Rumple The YS will smoke the OS, a better match would the YS-63 = OS-91. With a .63 on the MoJo it will be light and power will be insane. The YS is not a cheap motor and if cost is a issue I would buy a magnum(.70 or.91) and save as much as you can, it's not that the OS is a bad motor they just don't pump out the power. Maybe someone at your club has a YS-.63 that you can take a look at and see what it makes for power......Impact

A well broken-in OS 70 Surpass would be the perfect fit and less expensive than YS or Saito. Use the YS 20-20 fuel though!

Irvine .53 on a MCP will rock it!!
Or a Webra .50 will give you the best power to weight out there! |

sorryfor not answering been onvacation and havent had time.
Im probably gonna go with the ys people at my field have had good luck with them. how hard is the mojo to fly? I have no trouble with my reflection or my typhoon,even though i havent flown my typhoon in a while(darn servo gears). |

This is one of the guys at our club. He's got a 72 saito on his mojo 40. He says it flies better than any of his other profiles.
