You gotta read this.
Hey Arnold! I " passed forward" your balancing technique to a local friend.
Check out his thread he started about it and "the next level" he took it to. I highly recommend everyone take a look at it. He had a HK A-380 that vibrated so bad the engine mounts were breaking. I passed on your advice and now, well "hear" and read for yourself. Thread:http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1267814 Listen to this how quiet four engines can sound.
I'm takin my shet to his house for sure ![]() Delta II should be aloft w/n 14days

Works for me... ![]() Someday (in about a year I will upgrade my phone).. but until then, I guess I will simply continue to balance motors and impellers. His A-380 sounds really nice and he has 4 fans... I am impressed, but no retracts??.. Planes this large scream retracts.. ![]() I have to wait 14 days for your maiden flight report?? Arnold |

A minimum of two weeks (and that is being kind). I just got my last order and it took 24 days (with no lipos included). My experience is that registered airmail takes about a week longer than un-registered airmail. I think they are going green these days.. Using wind power (sails). My 777 is bored.... No events for a month or so. Meanwhile I am pulling maintenance on the rest of the fleet and adding a few upgrades. Connie is getting larger non-scale ailerons. These scale ailerons are more like trim tabs. Great for cruise. Almost non-existent for slow speeds (like landings). Last year I coupled the three rudders into the aileron channel so I could boost the low speed controls. It worked better but it was still sluggish. I could also use more flaps. She is so slippery that even the flaps do not slow her down much (more lift with minimal added drag). Landing Connie is a very focused event. The 777 is just the opposite. She slows way down and floats and floats and floats. Her touch-down is usually at the 1/2 runway mark (or later). I didn't realize those were 55mm fans. I thought this was the BIG A-380 kit.. Who makes the smaller one?? A |

I'll have to ask him just how he got one since it says the dont ship to US. I gave up on painting my wings in disgust.Tween the primer, filler and the paint, I'm worried about weight. 4.25 lbs and thats w/o paint.(I just had too many dings to fill from putting the on LG ).That, and I'm sick of sanding, priming, sanding, priming ad nauseum... So I'm gonna try some self adhesive monokote type film on hthe topside of the wing and see how that looks. I'm hoping that it may look even better than painting it.We'll see.I can always go back to primer on, primer off

Thanks guys, That looks like the Windrider A-380. I thought (was wrong) that there was a 65mm fan version. Looks good though. This thing would take a LOT of retracts.. ![]() A |

Yeah, I know... That was someone from a local TV station. That just had to be the one and only time the nose gear failed.. Never before and never since. But, she flew fine otherwise.. It does have a great visual of the retracts being cycled though. I am kind of done with airliners for a while. I need to make a few mods to the Connie and repair the DC-3. I might also do another Hooters Airlines 757 since I have already created all the decals etc. That one was a twin 50mm setup (with retracts). Getting ready for another show soon.. ![]() Arnold |
