yeah, I seem to remember how small England was................I grew up in the West Midlands, before moving to Canada as a teenager. large airplanes are a dime a dozen over here. lots of space to build these things AND most of all, North American craziness. or is it stupidity, or is it blah blah blah. hahahahahahaha.

personally, I think it's a bit of all of the above really..................and noone take offence, cause I've been here so long, I consider myself more Canadian than English now, although my birthplace and heritage is English.

Your very own Black Buck, the Vulcan is such a lovely shape in the air.

Have you read Roland White's Vulcan 607 which is the story of the Black Buck raids and very entertaining? If you haven't then it is well worth a read.

It looks a very lovingly made model, I hope it performs as well as it looks.

The "Tree Frog" paint scheme goes on...

My first time using aerosol acrylic paints... Not really happy with the results, will return to paint on in future. Word of advice too, used a much cheaper paint on one wing, and it has really turned out bad... Always pay a bit extra for your paint

in all fairness though, you are the only one who's gonna see it close enough to make that judgement. I think most will simply see it for what it is...................a huge Vulcan with lots of presence in the air. plus, the paint will look awesome on a fly by. right!?

Still haven't flown her yet, the weather has been terrible here, and I'm currently applying for some new jobs so my free time is all used up

I did fit proper retracts in her, I'll post a video in a moment.

But.......... And I'm a little embarrassed to say this, work has already started on the next one, using Depron this time.

Actually, she does most of the work... I think she would rather build models than get married though

Vulcan B2

Just now found this thread. Read it all and looked minutely at the pics. I think I need to have one of these, and yours is a shared design philosophy. Sadly, I haven't the time, but I congratulate you enormously. Wish it were a kit, as this is one that has always frustrated my drawing abilities. -Jim

@Jim: If you want a Vulcan as a kit, take a look at http://greenairdesigns.com/ejc/index...1-5m-span.html which is a recent kit produced by Greenair designs.

Google "South Herts Models" Vulcan, they offer the Vulcan plans that I am using, with the option of a beautiful laser cut kit, that speeds the whole process.
