Mike, for the really thin stuff I've taken apart a regular phone cord and used the internal wires. I've heard some people say that they don't recommend it, but I've not had any problems.
Also, I picked up some fairly light stuff at ServoCity a while back, but can't seem to find it on the site right now. I've got some extra if you need a couple of feet. |

My question is why? The weight saved would not be noticed and you're taking the chance of the wire breaking or your soldering not being perfect. You are also increasing the resistance of the wire.
Is this for a 1.5 meter dlg? If you were talking about a 29" span glider, it might still be a little obsessive. Don't forget to twist the wire if it's any length. |

Mike,
I use 32 AWG from Maxx Products. (http://www.maxxprod.com/mpi/mpi-5.html) Here is the product descritpion: 1713 Futaba servo wire, 10 ft $5.00 I like the smaller gauge because it is easier to install and fit into tight places. Tom |

I couldnt find the 32 gauge wire so I purchased four MAXXPRODUCTS #1454 24inch long 32 gauge JR servo Extensions wire (http://www.maxxprod.com/mpi/mpi-3.html bottom of page).
The wires have worked decently on my Blaster DLG wings driving Dymond D60s wing servos. About three hrs of flight time to date... I just opened the servos and resoldered the 32gauge wire to the servo board and ran the rest of the pig tail to the center Graupner connector. Then I ran another 32 gauge pigtail from the receiver to the wing. These wires are delicate and too much handling could lead to fatigue. Make sure to provide proper strain relief at the connection ends. |

Gobrushless has 28 AWG "Newbie" wire in three colors. Do you think that is thick enough?
