Here's My Finished Hawk IV (from earlier post)

I just finished my Hawk IV from Century. The kit arrived about 5 days after I ordered it from http://www.heli-world.com

The kit went together VERY well. It is a very polished kit for the price ($219.00 w/ free crash kit and training pod). The parts fit was excellent and with the 53 ball berrings ($20.00 berring upgrade) its really smooth! This is only my second heli, my first was a LMH-110 that I converted to e-power after I was fed up with that Norvel engine. It was easy to build even for a relative newbie (in helis).

I haven't had a chance to fly it yet, but when I do I'll post a flight report here for those interested in converting this heli to e-power.

Here's a few pics.

Here's a pic with it and my battered ELMH-110 for a size comparison.

Here's the servo setup for those interested in the kit. I installed a Futaba 240 HH Gyro under the servo mount with room to spare.

Flight times were around 10 minutes, that was over a year ago!

I have learned so much since then from all of you and trial n error. It should do what any hawk will. It is not much heavier than stock and the equip is better now.

I am fitting a scale fuse on it now, as the Logo has become my main flyer.

Cool, I did the same. Piccolo got a semi-scale body and Hornet gets upgrades

Acer,

Are you going to fly it around "gas-powered" first? It would be very interesting to hear how it flies under different power sources.

Fred, that hawk looks kind of like a big Logo . Looks sharp!

I'm going to keep this one glow powered. I may buy another one in the future (they are CHEAP) and convert it to electric. I'm keeping this glow because of the cost of a brushless w/ controller and a couple of 20 cell battery packs. I just don't have the extra money right now. Also I want to learn 3D and I don't think that it would fly 3D as good if it's electric as it will glow because of the weight of the batteries.
