Hi all,

I have looked in the forums to no avail. I am trying to find out if someone has used the E-Flite 480 on this bad boy. If so, how did you mount the motor? I have it mounted, but the motor comes out of the cowel about 2 inches lower than the pre-cut hole! Will this screw up*the way the plane flies?
Anyone's input would be appreciated.

This is exactly what I was thinking about doing!!!! I pulled the 450 out of my P47 to build my airfoilz yak and was planning on getting a 480 for the warbird. Wish I could help, but I will keep an eye on this thread

The P-47 kit comes with a black motor stick-mount...thats the one you use with the 480 motor.

I use this set-up with the stock prop and WOW

i flew with the 480 until my bird crashed at around 30 flights or so--I struck the prop on take off an it loosened on the prop shaft leading to death of airplane.

The 480 pulls her around fine i used the 910 kv one.

I used the 480 in mine and I used the outrunner mount that came with the kit. Had to do some mods to it a bit though. Shaft comes out right in the middle of the hole. You have to shorten the stick a bit though.
Power is awesome. Tried a few different props, but by far my favorite prop was believe it or not, the 10x8 that came with the plane. Reamed it out to fit and threw it on.
Tons of power, lots of vertical and pretty fast.
Using a flightpower 2100 3s and after 10 min of flying, I brought it down, plugged in the wattmeter and it was still producing 225 watts.

Thanks for the help guys. I did finally find the mount that came with the motor. My bench is a bit of a mess, lol! I had to ream out the hole the motor end was partially poking through, but after that, all was good. Do you think that I will be pulling more that 25 amps w/ a 10x8 and an 11.0 2100 polyquest lipo?
Look forward to giving updates, it has just been too windy or rainly lately.
