I've made some nice drawings for a Dassault Rafale. It's basically a shockflyer style design, but I've added parts to create a nice fuse. I was thinking of selling these plans, but since I've got absolutely no time to test build it, and I'm not able to spend any free time on this project, I've decided to release 'm as a free plan. I'm very eager to see anyone build and fly the Rafale.

The only thing that's missing is the motor-mount on the back. Please think of a suitable construction while building your Rafale.



At 40" span it's quite large. Fuse is 60" long...
It's made from 6mm depron or FFF.
Needs servo's for elevons / canards (can be coupled Ikarus SU-27 style) and rudder.
Power: about 200 watt
AUW: 600 gram / 21 OZ

Hi! Is this 40 inch wingspan or length? If you don't mind, could you let me know what the AUW of a jet this size would end up as, I might be interested in building them. I was thinking of possibly trying to build the Rafale at about the size of DCobra's F-20 (about 120% of the size of an original sized Steve shumate F-18). Anyway thanks, and I'd defintely like a copy of the plans if they are 40 inches in length....However a 40 inch wingspan would probably be out of the capability of my power system. Thanks again!

My plan is quite an easy build, and real monster-size. More like a fun jet.

Thx for the kind words. Later this week I'll publish 3mm depron 20" span plans. (half size 40").

Perfect 30" span plans for 6mm FFF/depron are quite labor intensive to produce. I can always try to scale the A0-size plans to your needs. But beware that after scaling down allmost all parts need some extra work to make them fit.

Ok downloaded the A0 pland (I hate tapeing tiled plans togethor) take the files to a print shop later this week

This is a 40 inch length, the wingspan is around 30 inch. The weight of the plane right now is 540 gram ( 19oz) all in.

I'm having problems too, with the 20" plan A1 (non tiled). It downloads and appears on the screen but when I try to print it or change the view size on screen I get the message "Too few operands". Can you create this file again please Prop-er.

I've refreshed the A1 file. Please try to download & print it again.

Sweet, I might take a stab at this. nice plans buddy. What kind of motor do you think it would need?

The 20" version should weigh about 300 grams. With a nice delta wing like that, a basic 30 gram 22,7mm CD-rom motor, producing about 70 Watt on a 7x5 APC prop should be a treat.
