Model flyers in Beijing?

Yes, finally we had a chance to go flying in Beijing. After nine months of expat life in Beijing we got some fligh time with our Venus... Oh Boy it felt so good. Is there anyone else looking for flying opportunities here?

In the picture Arto and George making our Venus ready for flight at the riverbank of the Wenyu river close to Capital Airport...

Again a perfect day at the flying field, this time on new location close to BDA in southeast Beijing. Little bit sidewind but otherwise everyone got a chance to fly and nothing was permanently destroyed.

Are you easy to get GWS products there?

We don't have many dealers in this area.

Hi GWS,

GWS products here in Beijing are rare. Most LHS here sell mainland made ARF and accessories which are of poor quality. The best seller would be World Models and their electric planes are selling like hotcakes.
Your company should penetrate the Beijing market, there is a growing number of enthusiasts, both local and foreign, flying electrics here and are willing to spend money on quality kits. I would love to get hold of a Formosa if I see one here.

Last sunday we went flying again, another really hot day and almost no wind making it even hotter. This time there were some local pilots as well, but unfortunately they were just packing up their stuff when we arrived. Best part was when the runaway was full of sheeps when I was supposed to take off.

Very good place to fly, and it looks very familiar runway, is it in Yizhuang E&T development zone?
I'm in Beijing right now and go flying in week end alternative days w/o evection.
Make an appointment to fly? mine is G202 with 70 4c.

We fly at the undeveloped area of the BDA which is along the Tianjin Expressway right after the 5th ring road. Its called Da Yang Fang in chinese. My Finnish buddies are on hoilday, but we are planning to fly again in August, weather pemitting. Send me a pm with your contact details so I can let you know of our flight plans.
