B-2 motors amp draw

Does anyone know off hand what the amp draw would be for the following set-up, 4 stock B-2 motors, stock props, and a 7 cell 270mah pack. Also any estimates on thrust.

Thanks,

Pete

Hi Pete,

I have modified my B-2 to 4 motors and use 6/250mAh instead of 6/110mAh. I have not measured thrust or current, but I can climb at a constant 30° angle with a model weighing 185g and I am still using my schulze slim-8e ESC. Jürgen

Thanks Jurgen!

That works for me! How/where did you mount the extra motors?

Once last question, does anyone know if the stock B-2 motors and props would work as good in a tractor setup? Maybe use two as pushers and two as tractors.

I added two more slots (similar to the original ones) right next to the inner ones. Pusher props are more efficient! Jürgen

Oops, by the way, 7 cells is too much for the motors and the 270 way too heavy. 6/220 - 6/250 is the way to go! Jürgen

Been using 3 Tadirans for 2 B-2 motors (pusher) in a small (own design) 170g Biplane for some time without any problems. Tried both 6 and 7 cell packs also. 6 didn't have enough zip, 7 was Ok but didn't last very long. Haven't kept a log on it but would guess at least 2.5-3 hours on the motors, but never run for more than 10-15 min. at a time. The bat don't run down in that amount of time, but I do. Never checked the amp draw.

My B-2 with two motors weighs only 135g and has probably less drag than a biplane. Flys OK with 6/110s but two extra motors really make a difference. Rolls and loops from level flight: no problem! Jurgen
